Over the years, the library’s digital presence had turned into a fragmented mess of conflicting designs and outdated code spread across dozens of sites. The goal was to clear the clutter. We needed to replace the chaos with a single, flexible design system that tied their entire web presence together and could easily handle different sub-sites, brands, and even offline experiences.

The approach
The approach
I started by untangling their existing setup to figure out what the internal teams actually needed to do their jobs. To keep the brand consistent, I turned those insights into a straightforward design system. By providing clear guidelines, ready-to-use components, and layout templates, teams and external agencies can now confidently build and launch complex pages entirely on their own.
